Minimum requirements for our daily c-c guns (works, or made to work, for weak wife):
1. Small & light enough for hot-weather covert concealment.
2. Cycles & fires AT LEAST 97% after any mods / tweaks are proven.
3. FMJ can penetrate heavy coat, then rib/sternum, then 4" of tissue from 5 yards.
4. Fires reliably one-handed, with a weak grip. (this can be a tough spec)
5. Easy enough for my frail wife to operate. (this is a tough spec)
6. At least six rounds in gun.
7. Will not seriously damage my hearing with just two shots, inside.
All seven together was turned a 'tall order'. .. For our summer/winter carry,
it's Keltec p32 (only as modified); but looking at Taurus 738, Bodyguard, others.
Using most of the same specs ....
For winter carry, or in ride, we choose Walther PK380 (w/ tweaking, testing).
For auto, home, or known danger, we choose Bersa Pro 9 UC.
We have not settled on a distance gun, but it needs to be small.
